Check out the three-day stay and experience we suggest:
Day 1

Start with a rich breakfast at the square, in one of the cooperating shops, which offer you a full breakfast made by local products (On high season, you can as well enjoy your breakfast in our own place (Kellari), which in the morning works as a cafeteria.)
Wonder around the stone, labyrinthine and atmospheric castle-village of Mesta to feel the energy of a medieval -decorated with yellow, purple, red and orange blossoms- environment.
NOON TO NIGHT
Discover the beach of Apotheca (mesta) for swimming, water sporting or scuba diving; reach to nearby beaches and small, hidden caves, by swimming or renting a canoe!
Enjoy your coffee, or snack at the beach canteen/café, which is located on a hillside, offering magnificent sea view!
Enjoy your lunch at Mesta, choosing souvlaki, pizza, traditional cooked food or more special tastes. (For desserts, such as donuts or local sweets, visit the cafes of the square.)
End your day with wine tasting of selected Greek wine labels at the Kellari wine-bar.
Day 2
MORNING TO EARLY NOON
Start with a rich breakfast at the square, in one of the cooperating shops, which offer you a full breakfast made by local products (On high season, you can as well enjoy your breakfast in our own place (Kellari), which in the morning works as a cafeteria.)
Visit the Cave of Olympi village; an ancient cave with very special stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years.
Enjoy your swim and sunbathing at the heavenly beach of Agia Dinami, where the water looks exotic, and the place, serene.
After swimming, visit the cells and the church of Agia Irini, which is also a place of gathering for the locals, who often organize festivals with music and dancing.
NOON TO NIGHT
Return to Mesta on time, in order to combine a mastic-tour at Mastichochoria, with food, as the tour includes a little picnic! (The tour is pleasant and experiential; it lasts about 4 hours and introduces the participant both in history and in the way of harvesting.)
End your day with an evening meal at one of Mesta’s fish taverns, enjoying fresh fish, a local smelt pie (fried smelt with onion) and exquisite ouzo “Chios”.
Day 3
MORNING TO EARLY NOON
Explore the Goat Trails and the surrounding area by renting a bicycle from Mesta Square.
Rest on the sheltered beach of Avlonia (mesta), which is ideal for swimming, sunbathing and relaxation!
Enjoy the excellent canteen souvlaki, and the Greek salad served in a rusk case.
NOON TO EARLY AFTERNOON
After resting in Mesta, visit to the brand new Mastic Museum. (At the modern space of the museum are exhibited objects and interactive exhibits (Must see the Projection room) for both Mastic and the medieval architecture and history of Mastichochoria.)
After visiting the museum, it is worth visiting the beach of Mavra Volia, whether you want to swim or not, as it represents a real attraction, thanks to its volcanic physiognomy.
Tip: Walk to the nearby beach to get to see the volcanic and shady rocks that stand over the beach, creating a unique spectacle!
AFTERNOON TO NIGHT
Enjoy your dinner back at Mesta, or at the seaside fish taverns in nearby villages (Emporio or Komi).
End your day at Mesta, to enjoy original mastic cocktails at the Kellari wine-bar. (For those who want something stronger to drink, there is also Suma; local alcoholic beverage made by figs, with or without anise).
